No bjj isn't a descendant of CACC. Bjj came from Kosen Judo -- no matter what anyone would LIKE to think. CACC or "hook style" descends from european, greek and icelandic styled wrestling -- most notably that of Farmer Burns. Definitely the modern father of Hook Style.

it goes even further than that. The nuba tribes in africa introduced wrestling to the egyptians. This was proven by the paintings on the papyrus.

wrestlings as old as it gets. Today, humans have natural basics of pushing and pulling. We 'test' those things at a young age meaning wrestling is the natural weapon we have to attack and defend.

imo, pankration is very similar to MMA today, except for differences in culture, battles, rules, etc.

I believe there are cave drawings of wrestling holds and moves dating back 16,000 years ago in Europe. Doesnt take long to add weapons on top to hunt for food, utilizing wrestling with it. LOL.
