A television trailer for director Richard Lester's 1983 fantasy adventure "Superman III", starring Christopher Reeve, Richard Pryor, Robert Vaughn, Annette O'Toole and Margot Kidder.
I'm glad, but I wish they would make these DC comic films with a future Justice League team up in mind, like Marvel is doing (even if they are scewing up with recasting the Hulk, like they did with Rhodes). Reboots can be a good thing. Superman Returns should have been a reboot with a different script/plot entirely, even though seeing a new film with that credit sequence was pretty cool. But, sorta like seeing Star Wars Episode 1 for the first time. At first, seeing a new crawl was epic.
Well they are doing a reboot next year ala Batman Begins, what do you think of that? i mean for Batman Nolan had to ignore 4 of the original movies and make a fresh new take on Batman.
@Johnlindsey289 Yeah, but that's actually one of my biggest complaints about Superman Returns. I don't like this idea of ignoring sequels. It's just confusing, and I didn't really like the direction they went with anyway. I still liked Superman Returns though, because it had a lot of epic-ness and the hottest Lois ever (though not well cast for the role, ha). Bosworth looked GORGEOUS in it. Lois on Smallville is perfectly cast though, & hot, even if they've screwed up a lot of the basic story.
This movie is sooo underrated. Yeah, it's more lighthearted, but sometimes Superman IS. A lot of people hate the opening, with the cartoony chain of disaster events that happen, but they harken back to oldschool Superman to me and set the tone for the film. No, I wouldn't want every Superman film to be like this, but I enjoy it. Part 4 was the terrible one, ha.

I agree it's not that bad but better than Supergirl (Despite Helen being hot) and Superman 4 but you glad Superman Returns ignored this and part 4?

I agree part 4 sucked like a vaccum, at least the new Superman movie ignored parts 3 and 4 and continued off part 2.
