I had to sell my congas to move to England. BIG MISTAKE!!! The congas I had have tripled in price and are more expensive jere to begin with. Word to the wise never sell any of your instuments, I will have my congas, but they will not be the calibre of those I had, but I will get then 1 piece at a time along with all my hand percussion instruments, it won't be top line Lp's, but I will be playing, with Latino heart and soul, for the love of the music and blessing of having a second chance .
my greatest inspiration in playing!many thanks to mr martin cohen for exposing the true history of conga playing by interviewing the only man who could ' tell it' and tell it truefully bless el maestro peraza & you too! mr. m.cohen .i have 8congas ,tptimbales 3bongos all LP as well as my first conga .gracias...
I recently about 2 months ago along with my brother, attended a show at Fresno State, to see A/Peraza, along with Rual and Carl. It was an inspiring night, and performance, Its good to see people stick to there roots.. and prosper.
This guy inspires me - I program drums on my computer (have been doing courses in percussion, but never use the live instruments) and I just need to run out tomorrow and buy some congas. And what a way of telling stories - love it.

Thak you Martin for interviewing the legendary mastercongero Armando Pereza. He is 90 years and still jamming with the drumms.
