does this need a type of calling people(dont know what its called, hoping for it to be my first phone) like AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc, or can i use Gizmo 5/fring/sipdroid?
I love the g1 but it really right now feels like a messaging phone and internet phone, it really isnt that productive, Yet. hopefully with updates and such we will see a office suite like androffice, and more productivity. As a "fun" phone this is perfect.

You really think so?
I love it. I think it's much better looking in person, and the touch screen is really great.
