After Effects 2D animation.
Firstly, I needed to get a picture of me that was taken in front of a green-screen in class. Next, I imported the photo into Photoshop and got rid of the background, leaving only me. The idea of my animation is of me presenting the weather so I had to get a background for my animation. I got a picture of a news and weather studio off the Internet, a HD ticker and some other pictures and I brought these pictures into Photoshop. I then processed the pictures. I saved the pictures into a created folder so I wouldn't lose them.
Next, I opened up After Effects and imported the pictures into it. To do this, I selected import and then went to file. When the pictures were imported, I began to work on the composition. Firstly, I had to position the pictures so I could get the right effect of a studio. When this was completed, I moved on to movement. To do this, I used the Puppet Tool for the basic movements of me. After I got the puppet tool to work, I decided to create an animation of a thunderstorm that would move through the weather screen while I was presenting the weather.
To do this, I created a new composition. Firstly, I worked on creating the storm cloud and the lightning bolt. To create the cloud, I went into the "effects and present" tab at the side of the screen. Then, I chose an object called "dark gray solid 1". I added a couple of effects to it and it added a more haziness/cloudy effect. For the lightning, I went back into the "effects and present" tab. I chose an object called "solid 1". I added some effects to it (e.g. editing some of the "fractal noise" etc...). I then went into transform and I edited the position of both of them to go in tune with each other.
After I got the thunderstorm composition completed, I worked on the studio. I blurred out the background to put more attention on me. After I positioned everything in the timeline, I decided to get a 30 second sound clip to go along with my clip.
I took 3 songs off my memory stick and imported them to Audacity. The songs are I Fight Dragons - "Money", tobyMac - "ShowStopper" and Kevin Rudolf - "Welcome to the World". I mixed them, together. Finally, I had to save it as a .wav. I then put the song under my composition and uploaded it to YouTube.
