This week my doc and I decided to remove the hardware from my previous spinal fusion surgery. So far so good! I know it is only day two but I feel better than I have in a long time. Thanks to everyone for watching and let me know if you have any questions. I will be uploading videos more often as I journey through this new leg of my spine journey. Hopefully this is it! To everyone who is going through similar problems, HANG IN THERE!

  • I am going in for L5-S1 tomorrow morning @ 10:00. I watched the 1st 4 parts of your video diary and will finsh watching today. I thank you for making these videos, as I haven't really been able to find anything on what to expect post op. I can't say your videos made me feel great about having the surgery, but it's real and now I know what I can expect, and for that THANK YOU!!!

I hope your recovery is doing well, Keep up the positive attitude!!!!

  • Sorry to hear you have to have the surgery but I believe it can help in most cases. There is a lot of pain but this can be managed to some degree. Hang in there! You may feel over the next few months that rehab will never end but try to focus on the big picture. My biggest problem sometimes is getting lost in the day to day because I cannot remember what normal is like. It helps to step back and look at total progress and know it will be better soon. Please update on your progress when pos

  • and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers over the next few days. I hope all goes wonderful and that you are back on your feet in no time. Let me know if I can help in any way.

  • I hope you are feeling better. I'm having an anterior spinal fusion this coming monday and am terrified, but your videos have helped me to at least have an idea of what to expect.

  • Thank you! I am glad the videos were helpful. The main reason I decided to video my progress was to hopefully help someone in some way. To my surprise I have received so much encouragement from others going through this journey. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers Monday. If you have time give me an update on your progress. Best of luck!

  • Glad you're doin' better, today I get to visit the Doc and discuss if I absolutely have to get surgery, and if so when. Definitely want to hear how you're doing overall, and what type of physical activities you can and will be able to do. I've been a gym rat lately, and will miss being able to workout.
