For an ACTUAL face-off, I believe that the only possibly acceptable "item" is the smash ball. I put quotes around "item," because I believe that it is more of a piece that allows use of another attack, and thus a part of the character (and even this I am sketchy on). Other than that, you can't have a fair fight with items involved. Also, don't use mis-leading titles, because I don't mean to be rude, but (I don't know if it was intentional) it sounded like two nerds who were trying to be cool...

First off, The 2 top ranked players are hardly gonna be insulting each other like idiots while playing, they'd be focusing like crap on the game.
