JOhn Mayer is the best!! HE's amazing at acoustic guitar, he got a lot of tecnic! he's brilliant at electric guitar dude! beyond the blues tecnics he adopted his own fingerstyle man! and above all he live autenticly the guitarplaying man and the crowd loves! nothing else matters

i hate those son of a bitches that are always saying bullshit about john mayer and that he has the same style of SRV and Eric Clapton, whatever. John Mayer is a 32 years old guitar player he made better stuff than a lot of some of the 'gods'.

Cmon, if the crowd loves it, why shouldn't he do what he does? Don't be so judging, cmon. Admit he's a good guitarist, not shown here though.

all i see is he's showing hes the guitar virtuoso while swinging his guitar n playing back of his head when all he did was slide, pull-off and hammer-on techniques, everyone who play guitar can do that.
And when David Gilmour of Pink floyd plays spectacular solos, he doesn't put it on the floor. he just stood still, plays it and let the rhythms cast spells on audience. you fail John.

why is everyone so impressed with his guitar playing? He's doing the same shit Eric Clapton did 40 years ago.

i dont understand why some people can't let musicians now be considered great guitarists. Yeah of course hendrix was awesome but so is john mayer. You can't get stuck in the past music moves on and why can't they be just as good if not better

Well sure, there was Hank Marvin,Link Wray,James Burton etc.... but IMO Dick Dale was the first (at least I think I may be right here) to turn the volume all the way up on the amp,overdriving the tubes & amp creating that thick,rich tone.Which,by the way, is what inspired Hendrix and all the others.Dick Dale was a pioneer for guitar playing,that cant be denied....
