Canon EOS 40D movie mode

A lot of people don't seem to believe this is true, so I made this movie, hopefully countering any attempt at proving me wrong. I don't know what else I can do to prove it but have someone come over here to verify my claims.

Why did I get a thumbs down? Hacked firmware updates do void canon warranties.

Ya it is just a software replacement but that is the deal with most companies that manufacture something like this. Updating your camera with unofficial firmware does void the warranty. It doesn't hurt the camera at all but canon doesn't want to pay for it if it does.

a) its a CMOS (BIG difference)

b) do you hear a shutter opening and closing at least 24 times a second? me neither! it runs within the live view mode so the shutter is actually not used for filming

I must admit, I probably wouldn't use the video recording feature, but I wish someone could open up the micro adjustment, that would be very useful indeed. Looks doubtful it will happen though considering the camera is 4 years old now...
