Who would prevent an investigation of a crime?

If your car was stolen, would you stop the police from investigating the crime?

If your mother was raped, would you try to stop the police from investigating/questioning what happened?

Of course not. Actually, you would be upset if the people ignored the crime.

Does it make sense to make a major complaint and then stop people researching and investigating the 'complaint'?????????

I am a german. It strikes me hard to see this, because it shows the ugly larve of naziism in its most unfiltered form: playing Offenbachs CanCan people are driven to their death. Playing Mendelssohn, they are shown playing footbal at the muzzles of the nazi rifles, which are of course not shown. Kurt Gerron was forced by the NSDAP to make this film in order to show, that Theresienstadt or Auschwitz were mere "holiday camps". No lie could be more vile. Good that this film is shown. NEVER FORGET!

It is a slow form of Holocaust Denial by relinquishing and denying all original declarations of witnesses in the late 1940s anti-fascist trials.
