The usual explanation for She Shook Me Cold is that a man who uses women gets his come uppance! However, it always reminded me of the myth of the succubus! In Western medieval legend, a succubus is a demon, who takes the form of a beautiful woman to seduce men, in dreams to have sexual intercourse. They draw energy from the men to sustain themselves, often until the point of exhaustion or death of the victim. From mythology and fantasy, Lilith, in fables (folktales not part of official Christian theology),is considered a succubus.

This video is an amalgamation of both really. Images of Casanova, who met his nemisis in the form of Marianne de Charpillon, coupled with various images of the succubus.

Sorry - just saw this. I think I said somewhere in the comments that I heard all the music was written by Mick Ronson in collaboration with Angie Bowie. David Bowie put lyrics to it months later. That's what I read but I'm not sure. The guitar solo would most certainly have been the MAN's - Mick Ronson.
