Part 2 of 2 - The following is an unofficial documentary on the basketball career of high school legend Ronnie Fields. I have tried many times to make an official documentary, but have never been able to. However, I am still interested and you never know what could happen.

Fields might be the most famous basketball player to never make it to the NBA. But as this movie will prove, it is not always about who has the most talent that determines who makes it to the NBA.

This movie will provide some insight into the talent of this man, as well as some of the things he went through during his career. It also contains game footage never released to the public until now.

Thanks for the support and I hope you all enjoy it. And as always, please feel free to email me with any comments or suggestions.

PS - Special thanks to Charles Millan at "Team Flight Brothers" for the ESPN clip.

  • I was a chicago suburbs basketball player who played from 2000-2004. I was shocked at how many "basketball minds" didnt know about this guy. He is/was an amazing player that i had to find out through my older bro and highlight videos. This video is too well made to be just on youtube. This story should gain more attention even now!

  • Thank you very much for the kind words. I have been trying to make this a documentary for years. I hope you are right.

    Thanks!

  • Can anyone tell me the music that starts at 1:48???

  • "The Dragon's Heartbeat"

  • Ronnie's only flaw in his game was his arrogance, I can remember him coming in2 the shoe store I used 2 work in @ the time, & he actually bragged about not having 2 buy his sneakers, I told him "everybody can't be big time HS hoop stars like U" in fact, it was his own fault that he could'nt get in2 DePaul, he used 2 B.S. around on days when he should've been studying 4 the SATs.

I just hope KG invites him 2 the Finals after Boston knocks off Detroit.

  • That was not all Ronnie's fault. He had people in his ear since he was kid telling him how great he was. And he wasn't lying about not having to buy shoes.

Deep down Ronnie is a good guy who usually always has a smile on his face.

  • since when did test scores matter for athletes, there are alot of pros that didnt take their SAT's , fuck the nba it involves too much bullshit.

  • I bet DePaul wishes they would have taken him. They've had one good year since with Q Rich. Other than that, nothing.

  • @drexyl1973 Yo. i have checked out his video and if what these guys say is correct, then yes i do believe he is the best player to not make it. But who are those guys anyway? There were actual NBA players talking about how Hook mitchell would kill them.

  • I beg to differ..the best player not to play in the NBA was Raymond Lewis from Los Angeles..check out his vid

  • @eazyep actually the best player not to play in the NBA was Raymond Lewis from Los Angeles...check out his vid! Peace

  • nice doco.

but the best player to not play in the NBA is Hook Mitchell. But they already made a documentary about him :)

  • good doc on Ronnie Jordan I heard about him when KG moved from South Carolina to Chicago to play with him . I picked up SLAM magizine in 95or 96 and saw he was the truth I wish there was youtube back in the day there were a lot of guys all over the country that were amazing

  • minus the vertical leap, was he any good.

the accident seemed to take away his athleticism a little and he was forced to rely on his fundamentals. it seems like his game depended heavily on his leaping ability and overall athleticism before.

  • Experts say his skills aren't this or aren't that...Man I've seen him break fools down!!! I saw him play against Peoria Central and A.J. Guyton (River City Shootout) and WOW! So whatever...you think these videos are something...if you saw him play in person...YOU'D NEVER FORGET HIM!

  • ronnie played in the cba the past couple years here in my hometown.......He played for the minot skyrockets...minot is in North Dakota
