Video: Utahs Midnight Terror Roller Derby Team Takes on the Canadians

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — The Wasatch Roller Derbys team Midnight Terror skated Saturday afternoon in a bout against Hellion Rebellion a womens roller derby team from Calgary, AB Canada and beat the girls 150 to 49. The derby was held at the Taylorsville Recreation Center.

Roller derby has been in Salt Lake City for about five years, according to Heather Rayl, 24 from Kaysville and a member of Midnight Terror. There are currently four different leagues in Utah, and the Wasatch Roller Derby is the only non-profit league in the state. Lacie Matthews, who goes by the name Honey Delunatic, along with another skater, Medusa Damage, started the Wasatch Roller Derby in November 2008.
