So I found this thing called OnLive. It's a game store where you can buy and play games.Sounds like Steam, right? There is one big difference. With OnLive you don't download the game to your computer. You don't even play it on your computer! You play the game on OnLive servers and just the video is streamed back to you.Requirements for OnLive are a PC or a Mac that has a Pixel Shader 2.0 graphics card and a connection of at least 2Mbits.Also they say that the optimal distance between your computer and a server is 1000 miles (1609 kilometers).
I've been able to play on US server located in Palo Alto in California with my connection of 2,5Mbits.There are occasional quality drops but the game runs nice considering I'm 6200 miles away from the server. That in the video IS me playing Just Cause 2 (30 minute demo) on my PC.
My specs are:
Intel E2180
1GB DDR2 800MHz RAM
GeForce 7100/nForce 630i.
So far I've heard that OnLive is coming to UK in late September this year and after that the rest of Europe.I also heard that there will be another server in Belgium.
