This song is lightly likable, but the three James Last songs on Connie Sings Bacharach, Last, et al.--No Sun Today, After You, and the INCREDIBLE What Good Are Tears--are the killers. Her brokenhearted response to them can't be all artfulness; it really does feel as though she's channeling her own experience. It's a shame that Connie didn't do more by James Last, because I suspect they were made for each other. More's the pity that these recordings didn't attract greater attention when released.
