That's not to say carbon trade isn't used for tyranny. But don't fall for Ball's hackery, it weakens the argument. On its own, the carbon tax could be argued as destructive even if GW is true, so it's a poor argument to pursue. There are other issues Jones misses, like dismissing peak oil as part of a plot, when he clearly doesn't grasp the implications of oil scarcity as motivation for NW0 actions as population pressure becomes physical reality.
