Øresund is a narrow strait between Sweden and Denmark. Its complex current movement, cycle between salt and freshwater, large diversity of fish and invertebrates make it an extremely interesting subject.

These footages were filmed at the Øresund Aquarium, a marine biological laboratory of the University of Copenhagen located in Helsingør, Denmark.

Some of the species shown in the video include wolf eel, atlantic cod, hake, pollack, whiting, stickleback, wrass, red mullet, sand eel, shark, red fish, sculpin, flounde and sole.

  • Those are red fish, kind of like snapper found in Asia and Australia.

  • That's a whiting.

  • If a fish species needs to be IDed in the video, please post the exact time when the fish is shown in the video and I will do my best to ID it.
