The DKPG stop by the GRCO in Buffalo, NY. Last used as an orphanage in 1956, when a fire signaled its demise. Shot and edited by smlg.ca

Edit: This site is being redeveloped into affordable housing. Most of the buildings are being/have been demolished, with a couple remaining for reuse.

  • my mother in law Joyce was one of the many children housed here she was only 4 and said to a 4 year old it was the toughest and scariest places she ever lived

  • @colleenrobledo You're kidding!! I have been trying to find a way to get records with my information but it's hard living in California. My two younger brothers and I were residents there - not once, but twice. I must have been between 5 and 6 the second time. I hated it there. If you wet your bed, you had to take your sheets through an underground "tunnel" to the laundry room. It was very dimly lit. I suppose to scare us into NOT wetting our beds.
