Hey guys, David here from nintendo 3ds blog dot com and in the latest edition of Iwata Asks, it has been confirmed that a new Super Mario Bros. game is in development for the Nintendo 3DS.
It's not exactly the most unexpected news, and Miyamoto has hinted at Super Mario Bros. coming to the 3DS in the past.
But it's nice to know that it's definitely happening.
It has also been revealed that there will be two StreetPass-based games built-in to the 3DS operating system.
StreetPass is the feature that allows games and the 3DS itself to silently exchange all sorts of data with other 3DS's when in a certain range.
We're not sure what these StreetPass-games will be, but they're free, so it's only going to be something extra to do.
But speaking of StreetPass, Dead or Alive: Dimensions has taken the crown for the coolest use of the feature.
The game itself tracks your "play pattern" as you fight opponents, so things like your tendencies in certain situations and overall style.
Then, when you walk past someone who has a save file for Dimensions, your play pattern will be silently put into a fight with the other person's play pattern.
It's essentially an invisible game of probability, but based on real data and how you play the game.
Meaning if you're actually good at Dimensions most of these StreetPass battles will probably be won.
And if you're one of the 5.5% of people who watch these videos and are from the United Kingdom then you may be able to get your hands-on the Nintendo 3DS in the near future.
Official Nintendo Magazine are holding a competition that allows you and a friend to head to a pre-release event on February 12th or 13th.
Check the description box below for the link and all the details.
But that's it. Still got lots of videos planned. So definitely start checking back every day.
Oh, and if you want more frequent updates about the 3DS follow me on Twitter, @Nintendo3DSBlog and I'll talk to you later.
thumbs up if you have a 3ds :)
