using no rhythm and it still grooves calmly
here an answer I gave below :
@bazzsofly -
hi Bazz - if you say that 'sarcastic' ? look to the sample video I placed somewhat later on request - my whole point was that a drummer can easy drum on a piano in a kind of way no pianist almost can ( even after conservatory ) , +drummers have an internal beat or groove
So to start you need some chords which are ok ( not false ) or a simple sequence - not immediately a Blues scheme - if needed ik place an exact copy of this one super slow

If this will enrich your life , Please giove a THUMBS_UP at my OBAMA BLUES on my opening page
or paypal me ONE sweet dollar on gerard@youpaywhatyoulike.com

  • This is almost avant-gardein it's simplicity. But sort of in the pocket as well. If you had a band to come in after a few minutes it would be even better.

Sort of like when Wayne Shorter and Zawinul have those little call and response things. I wish you'd teach your method. It's great. I'm trying to learn piano.

  • @aynrandy1 - Hi what a compliment - but I cannot even read notes - I'm an ex drummer - but if you have the feel and you have - i could make something like this but arpeggio like showing the chords

like in my how to easy blues chords 'lesson' ha ha

that blues thing is in my first 12 or right after

    - - - hé and give me some Thumbs on my main songs there - wow - please

  • I enjoyed the simplistic style here. it's easy to read a book to this and not be distracted by a gazillion notes ;)

  • nice

  • I did - see the second vid up-here:

What a word 'teach' - It makes me laugh - I can't read notes even - few month ago I paid 120$ to hear&play and I got 6 CD's completely un-useful, . . the old stuff they try to put the musical alphabeth in my head which is dyslexic but they advertised with : revolutionary method !

So I try to explain the few things I know here !

AND I ASK ONE DOLLAR? hOW ABOUT THAT . . :-)

  • Even yet more simple and slow - If you like Funk you can do it

  • sounds nice!! what are the 2 chords that you're playing? at least it sounds like 2 chords.
