Is power metal under a damnation of its own kind? First, the best 1980's power metal vocalist, Michael Kiske left Helloween, almost swearing the band. Then, the best 2000's power metal singer, Daniel Heiman, left Lost Horizon in the same kind of cicumstances! Where is Odin to put some order here????

Either you like the guy or you don't. I could listen to Daniel Heiman sing "Happy Birthday". This is only a tragedy if it's really his new direction. But he has been known to experiment with different styles for brief periods of time. If that's all this is, then I prefer to enjoy it. It's interesting to hear Daniel sing something this different. I don't know about the rest of Lavett's material, but this is a good tune. Having said that, I too wish he would go back to Lost Horizon.

I just became a Lost Horizon fan, better late then never. Too bad they broke up, they burned bright but short. I hope Daniel goes back to metal one day, I'm sure he would find a Throne among the gods, awaiting his return...
