1990 Ford Festiva LX neaderpaul jingle downtown hawk

This video is of my 22nd Ford festiva. I've been calling it cream puff because of the condition and the low miles (121,000). It is optioned out from the factory and then I added a few more goodies. Festivas last an AVERAGE of 300,000 miles. I have seen 10 with 500,000 miles. They get the gas mileage of a prius (over 50) yet you don't have to spend $1000's on on the batteries! lol!! They are quick and CAVERNOUS! I know many people from 6"5 - 6' 10" and it is their daily driver!!! The festiva is mazda 121. It was assembled between 1988 and 1993 by Kia in Korea using all Mazda components and design. Festiva FTW!!

Would you know by any chance if the roof liner from an lx would fit in a 5 door festiva at all?

@jawbraeka I removed the rear bumper and a friend built a reinforced trailer hitch inside the bumper. It is very stealth. Also since this video I did a full ford aspire brake and suspension swap. It now handles like a go cart. That's all I can think of for now. ALL festiva questions can be answered on fordfestiva dt cm. I am neanderpaul there as well.

@jawbraeka did you manage to get the measurements for the roof liner yet?

Could I please ask a favour and could you measure up the dimensions of the roof liner so I can compare the two as I don't want to do a mod unless I can do it without Modding the roof liner at all as I want it to look uniform. Thanks in advance.

@jawbraeka I painted the stock 12" steelies black. The chrome trim beauty rings and center caps are stock. The mudflaps are stock but didn't come on this one. I also made the grille using an 88-89 stock grille with the center bar cut out and a grill added behind it. After this video was made I added the escort wagon rear wiper gear mod that allows the wiper to function normally yet rest in the down position. Continues...

@jawbraeka It does have factory seatbelts or passive restraints. The 90LX is the holy grail of festivas. The following options are specific to the 90LX only. Special shaped power mirrors we call swoopies, the removable headrests have a large hole in each one, the black strip below the rear glass is also 90LX only. This one also came with the original underseat tray. Those were only on the 88-89 LX models. I added the stock spoiler. They came on 92-92 GL sport models. Continues ...
