The intensity at which you train is paramount for getting results. If you don't attack your training program with the appropriate intensity you are cheating yourself of the progress you deserve.

High intensity training requires a certain mental toughness, effort, and a willingness to get out of your comfort zone. This video demonstrates 4 methods of increasing the intensity in your workouts using "set-extension":
1) Drop Sets
2) Negatives
3) Rest-Pause
4) Partials

But in the end it really depends on how hard you push yourself. Bring the intensity!

  • @zsoulja786 - Thanks for the comment! Yes I have one on Thursday Feb 9 here in Toronto. Check my site calendar, or Google 'Toronto Fitness Seminar', or private message me for info. It's called Reboot Your Body.

  • Great video as always Josh! Do you have any seminars coming up soon?

  • There are 2 types of people ... "learn-it-all's" and "know-it-all's". Those who learn a little about something and then assume they know EVERYthing on that subject tend to criticize anyone who is different. Those who learn ALOT tend to realize how little they actually know, and how much more there is to learn.

  • @hellymoore - I beg your pardon. I am demonstrating some techniques for increasing your training intensity... I was unaware that there was only one method of accomplishing this (likely you are a proponent of "Super-Slow", as you identify yourself as a HIT instructor). I did attempt to review your own videos, surprisingly there are none. If your comment was intended as constructive criticism, or educational in some way, then I thank you. It just seemed negative to me.

  • this is not HIT ,,, I AM A HIT INSTRUCTOR & THIS IS NOT HIT!

  • @FitLossophy - Thanks!

  • I LIKED THIS VIDEO!
