Kauffman Foundation Senior Research and Policy Fellow Ben Wildavsky spoke at Dartmouth on February 29th, 2012. His lecture "The Great Brain Race: Rise of the Global Education Marketplace" drew an overflow crowd to hear perspectives on recent developments that have occurred in global higher education - intense competition, including unprecedented academic mobility, the growth of branch campuses, the quest to create world-class research universities, the rise of global college rankings, and the importance of human capital to economic growth, with discussion about how Dartmouth can facilitate and promote a "free trade in minds."
