Both cars sound outstanding, but I wonder why so many think the 55 sounds better than the 63?

63 has a deeper, more throaty accoustic. It's larger displacement and naturally aspirated, so it is inevitably going to sound better. Im so sad that the new AMGs are going to have smaller displacement and twin turbos. I hope they dont sound like vaccum cleaners like the new BMW TT V8s do.

i have an cls 55 and a 63 amg has no chance... only the sls

Wish Mercedes hadnt got rid of the '55' engine, better noise and acceleration than the 63 engine, but it would drink a lot more fuel which is probably why they switched to naturally aspirated
