This was the final for my first Materials Science and Engineering class. The device is propelled by a set of flippers that have enough freedom to tilt to about 30 degrees perpendicular to the surface of the water as they go up and down. It moves forward on both the up and down strokes. This project was build using about $100 worth of materials, and I might sell it on Ebay soon.
