wow really well put together :) where can you get soul eater clips? I can never find any that work with windows movie maker (sadly that's all i have for amvs)

he holds his guns backwards so that he can block/punch with them easier.

blocking/punching with a gun held normally would be like blocking/punching with an awkward blunt object.

but if you hold the gun upside-down like Kid does then blocking/punching becomes relatively the same as how a sword held like that works.

how you hold a gun doesn't change the bullet's trajectory anyway. (it'd probably be a lot harder to aim with a gun held like Kid does tho)

or maybe he's just odd... :-p

@kukulza better question, he has guns with homing bullets, why get close enough to justify having to hold them special for melee combat in the first place?

you're also making a big assumption that Kid is even aiming at all... One of his named-moves (something like triple-river-shot or something) fires 3 shots that curve quite significantly mid-flight...

i take that as meaning kid doesn't need to care about aiming (aiming is probably taken care of by the twin pistols themselves)

keep in mind also that Kid isn't human, so his ability to "channel recoil" and his "natural quivers" may be nonexistent as a Shinigami.

As for the human elements (grip/quivers/w.e), while those problems may be true for people who have tried it once or twice, it may not matter after some practice... I don't believe i've ever heard of someone actually seeing if practice can allow one to hold a gun as kid does and still aim properly. if you know of anyone who has tried, feel free to mention them.

@kukulza While holding a gun the manner in which u hold it is very important. Firing like that u lose a large amount of control and would send bullets all over the place because ur hand would not properly channel the recoil while firing and the natural quivers in ones arms would be magnified by the loose grip since handguns are meant to be held upright. Also trajectory would be affected since many calibers hold more of a curvature path holding it upside down would greatly affect that. L2 guns.
