What difference would an auto have made. all the shootable does were shot weren't they?, you say you are spoiled in the us yet we can shoot deer every day of the year here and do not have to apply for a tag and can shoot as many as we like.

It's odd, I see all these posts regarding what certs and papers needed to own a gun, much less use one, going from EU country to country...and yet complain about MA restricting fully-automatic weapons, but we can still go get whatever gun we want and shoot it however we want in most of the other states. Ahh, spoiled America. :P

@5h4d0w990 It might seem hard as in gun laws but we can shoot deer everyday of the year here so we are at least firing at live targets with our restricted guns LOL.

I might be coming back to the UK if I can find a job overthere, I come from the North West originally. Would you happen to know if I could hunt on my German hunting license? And would it be enough to satisfy a UK Firearms Cert? I have a bolt action with a Mauser 98 system in 6.5x57 - no moderator. We don't use them over here, there is no legistation for the pros to use them either, would I be obliged to fit one in the UK? Thanks in advance BE

i think you will have to apply for a fac to stay here any amount of time no you do'nt need a moderator fitting only if you wish

where I live and hunt we see heards of deer sometimes into the twentys and many times in the teens yet we dont try and kill the lot. We pick the best one and leave the rest for another day

If you have a German certificate, all you have to do is applying for a Visitors Certificate. Can bring your rifle and you don't need a moderator, that's optional mate. This is in Scotland and probably rest of UK is the same.
