Obtaining the ultimate retro-look with high quality lenses and great DOF. The scratches is there because i made them on purpose. Planning to switch that part out and replace it with a new one. The song is called "I Ain't Scared of Lightning" by Tom Mcrae.

  • i think it looks cute, with a warm, 8-mm ish feeling to it. It's very far for perfect. I have made another adapter, with a much more clean and higher quality. I'll post a video and mabey a how-to in a couple of weeks.

  • Dude how did you do [ cheap ] i love the old look and i want to film like that on my hv 30

  • what you need to do is to get a Canon EE-S matte screen and an fast old lens with F/2 or F/1,4. Then you just figure out how to do it. If you want that old 8mm look, the tip is this:

Let some light pass through on the sides of the matte screen. Then you'll obtain a look similar to mine. This video has no post color correction or anything.

  • Awwww it's like a retro audition for cast my couch :)

  • Could you upload how to do this thing? I love how it looks like 8mm film, but shooting 8mm film is a real painful.

  • Depends on taste

  • best looking? its not bad but it has scratches and the frame is off center... leaving black on the right side... could be better...
