(part 4) Its like saying poeple only got into "super Heros" because of Spiderman in 2000, when they forget we had the superman films from 1978-1984(but 3 of those sucked) or batman from 1989-1996(sure the last 2 sucked), But it wasnt even Spiderman who put marvel in the film slot, it was the first Blade film, then X-men, just spider man had wider appeal. PLus we had Buffy from 1997-2004 along side several other vampire films before twilight. All twilight did was sanitize the genre for

(part 3) Not to mention vampires have been a "hot topic" in literature long before Dracula(which, many today have not read, but they use the Gary Oldman to say they did),, John WIlliam's Lord Ruthven came out first in 1819, but Bram just made the most money. This subculture has been pretty underground long before the "sparkles", saying that these people(who are usually enjoying themselves in harmless fun) only got into it, because of the sparkles is an insult, Its been around since the 80s

(part2) But how is that different from every other decade of the past? Are people so jaded by the lame filter, that they do not know the cinematic history of the genre? Okay sure Twilight has a had a film every year since 2008, which will end in 2012 for the sake of the books. How is that different from Hammer Horror's series of Dracula films from 1957-1973 while the soap Dark Shadows was running from the late 1968-1972. Or Universals Monster movies from early 1920s-1950s Its a popular genre

Im gonna say this now and, and probably again later in the future(sigh) I am a little tired of everyone hating the undead because of that Twilight Rubbish. No one ever hated on the vampire genre before that lame serries. Furthermore I am a little tired of poeple giving that very same rubbish credit for "putting vampires on the map," or "people are only into vampires now thanks to twilight." Both reasons are lame.
