Very Next Day One-Shot Part 1

So I love the Christmas song Last Christmas, so this is kinda the year before last Christmas, then i was thinking I can have a one-shot for Christmas of 2011 that can be last Christmas :P so...here it is:


I awoke from the light shinning threw my window, as reality hit me, a huge smile spread across my face. Yesterday was magical, not because it was Christmas, not because it snowed for the first time in like forever, no, it was magical because of Zachary.

Part of me still thought I was crazy, it took me all but two weeks to fall in love with him, but I did. My best friend's boyfriend's cousin (yeah that's a mouthful isn't it?) came down to visit for the holidays, and when I saw him, that smile, I knew there was something about him.

We all hung out non-stop, Miley, Nick, Zac, and I and I knew that I needed him, that I wanted him. Sure he lived a state away and would be leaving after New Years, but we could make long distance work, and if it because serious, like I wanted it to, there were colleges and other starbucks where he lived, I'd move. Crazy right? To think about picking everything up and leaving for a guy I had just met...for some reason I really didn't care how crazy I sounded.

As I began to get ready to see Zac again, my memories flooded with the night before:

I filled my cup with more punch as I watched Zac dance with some girl, loser...only because I wasn't her, but whatever. His eyes met mine and I looked away, no thanks on being a creepy stocker. "And you're not dancing because?" Miley's voice was suddenly besides me. "Because I don't have the guy I wanna dance with." Miley rolled her eyes "He's leaving in like a week okay? There are hotter guys out there." As the song changed to something more up-beat Miley grabbed my drink setting it to the side "Come on, we're dancing, you're gonna shake what you mama gave ya and make him wish he had it." I laughed and rolled my eyes as I followed her to the dance floor.

As the night was coming to a close I sat alone in the kitchen having a cup of hot chocolate. "Coffee? Isn't that going to keep you up all night? You know Santa doesn't come till you fall asleep." The voice of an angel said behind me, before taking his seat next to me. I laughed slightly, "It's coco, plus, Santa? Really come on now, you do know he is really your parents?"

Zac: I don't know, there are some things I tell Santa, that dear old daddy doesn't know.

Ashley: (laughs lightly) Oh so you're telling me, that if I say something I want right now, since according to the song, santa knows everything, I'll get it tomorrow because he's real and its not my parents.

Zac: Well that depends on how good you've been (smirks slightly)

Ashley: Oh don't you worry, Imma saint.

Zac: (Leans back in his chair) See that's hard to believe because you spend A LOT of time with Miley, who...well you know.

Ashley: (laughs) Well even though we've been friends for like 13 years, I have managed not to let her be a bad influence on me.

Zac: Well then, what's your new Christmas wish

Ashley: (Thinks: you) And why would I tell you that?

Zac: Well me and Santa (Crosses his fingers) We're like this

Ashley: Oh really?

Zac: Well yeah, you know

Ashley: I don't know, what if it's a secret?

Zac: Come on, you can tell me

Ashley: Nope (Smiles)

The two continued talking, finding out their dreams, what they were studying in college, their favorite color, everything.

Zac: (Smiling) You're really something you know that?

Ashley: (Smiles looks down) thank you

Zac: how do you not have a boyfriend?

Ashley: I don't know...what kind of question is that?

Zac: I don't know...(Slightly leans forward)
