@DestroyerofSouls666 I think the 1980's up to about the last half of 1988 was probably the best decade of Top 40 music (and that included the hard rock, and even heavy metal.) I depart around the last half of 1988, because there started to be a bit more silliness and some rather awful overdone remakes that came out about that time, and in 1989 we had Milli Vanilli (and don't get me started on that one.) I myself was so happy that I was in my late teens and 20's during the decade of the 80's

Don't know about you, but I miss the 80s and even some of the 90s music.Top 40 was so catchy and diverse back then. Pop, Hard Rock, Soft Rock, New Wave, Dance, R&B, Soul, Country. It was all good and there was something for everyone. Now, its just hip hop crap, diva droning, and teenybopper nonsense. Poor kids today don't understand harmonies, playing w/real insturments (sorry Rockband doesn't count), or keeping things subtle and smut-free. I'm so happy to have grown up in the time that I did.

I've always loved the songs in the 70s and 80s.. it reminded me so much of my childhood. I still believe that the songs way back then are still the best!
