Hi im baking 2 cakes for saturday and im using marshmellow fondant also, just wondering after you crumb coated the cake with buttercream did you refrigerate it or just let it sit out?and does it have to be hard before you put fondant on?

@MagyMom2 There is no need to refrigerate the frosted cake unless your kitchen is very warm and you are having a problem with the frosting "melting". If you do refrigerate, you may have excessive condensation after taking the cake out of the fridge, so I would try to avoid it. Some people prefer to wait a little while after frosting to apply the fondant. I generally do it right away.

I really enjoyed watching your video of your cake process, But I was disappointed that you dont have more cake videos. I would have watched if it kept going. I loved it! Your fondant application is better than mine and I have been doing this for years. Please post more.

@raneishaw Thanks! Truth be told, I've only made one or two cakes since I recorded this video series, so there hasn't been much to document. I wish I had more time. As you saw from my other videos, I am mostly an electronics/mechanics guy, but I think making cakes is fun too.
