But wait there is another reason to go to the gym besides getting healthy and looking and feeling good.

The Gym or health club is also a great place to meet men.

So today I want to give you simple and easy dating tips about how to meet men at the gym.

Look at it this way if you are divorced and over 40 a lot of the men in that age range often times are not in very good shape.

But the males your age that you will meet at the gym are there because they want to take care of themselves and look the best they can.

What could be a better place find men who are into a healthy life style than at your local gym right?

So, the first thing you must do is get your mind frame around the idea that you have to be friendly and approachable in order to meet men at heath clubs.

I know for some of you that may seem tougher than doing 50 crunches.

You get very uncomfortable even thinking about doing this, let alone do it.

So to make this easy I'm going give you 3 simple steps that I guarantee will be something you can do.

Step # 1
To help you with your confidence buy a cute workout outfit that you feel good in.
That's easy right?

Step # 2
Go over to the free weight station.

Pick a guy that is lifting weights who looks friendly.

As soon as he is done with that exercise you approach him.




You say that you noticed he seems to know what he was doing and you are just beginning use free weights.




Then ask him how much weight he would suggest you use for doing curls for the arms.
Or whatever exercise you want to do ask him for his advice.

You get the picture, right?

Step # 3
After he offers his help give him a warm smile and thank him for his advice.

What will most likely happen is you will probably get into some sort of conversation about the gym or working out or whatever.

Just see where it goes.

Now here is what is most important for you to understand.

If nothing comes out of this interaction other than weight lift talk and if he is married or has a girlfriend or whatever it doesn't matter.

The bottom line is you can be really proud of yourself for taking this scary step and giving it your all.

Consider it practice.

And remember practice makes perfect.

So on your next visit to the gym when you approach another guy you will be much more comfortable and confident.




The key is each and every time you go for you work out approach a guy and ask a gym related question.

  • Most of the guys I have dated I met at the gym. Where else can you meet a group of men showing off their assets? LOL You give good advice & just saying hi at the lockers works well too. Another huge tip is: Take off your headphones & be approachable~

    Great tip to take off your headphones. What could communicate I'm not approachable louder than headphone or ear buds in your ear?

  • give me a break sorry but my gym is in my basement for real...how many woman go to the gym to get a guy...why don't woman learn to pursue their own life and interests and if you happen to meet someone you do if you don't then at least you made for yourself a legacy! the whole getting a guy thing is so passe and I am not a lesbian...woman have been ripped off in this world making a guys their focus instead of making a contribution to society!

  • Using your common instincts will help a lot. You can tell who is approachable and who may be intimidating at first impression. If you find regular gym goers that you see often, they are easier to chat to as you see them often but also they are ones you have an opportunity to chat to again and again to get to know the person better.

  • @QuestionAll1 Say "hi" and smile. The simplest thing is often the best without trying too hard. If she's a regular, start basic conversations.

  • Ok...I'm saying this behalf of myself and behalf guys that are in the gym to "pump iron": ladies we are there to get done with our workout in a focused and undistracted fashion. If u really want to talk to a person talk to the ones that are on the cardiovascular equipment because it requires minimum focus to do cardio. Last thing we need is a distraction when we are doing any weight exercises.

    since i am a girl i think the best way is to ask her a question about herself and flatter her, but not too much. if your still in school you could ask her what school she goes to, and make a connection by asking her if she knows anybody from her school that you also know. wait until she seems near the end of her workout so you dont interrupt her, because she might get irritated.
