  • i'm a guitarist but want to get into playing bass

would you suggest buying this for a beginner to bass or buying one with frets?

  • One with frets!

  • shuold i get this bass or the Rogue LX200BF fretless i cant decide, i want the extra range and unlined fingerboard of the Rogue but the quality and sound of the Squier what do you think i should do

  • Get the LX, and put better pick ups in it! And will even sound better than the Squier.

  • @the1nameless get a fretless, unlined and splurge a few bucks for atleast 2 months of lessons from a person who plays electric freltess so you can develop proper technique, get some real tone and some real chops! Don't be intimidated. The only people that can't make a smooth transition from fretted to fretless are those that use improper technique and compensate for it. Right hand doesn't have much to learn so most people can't balance, have poor intonation and quit it. Work!

  • i already have a high end bass and i want a cheap fretless should i go with this???

  • @K12machinima You can achieve the tone by dialling in your EQ, not by buying a bass. Maybe investing in an overdrive pedal for the RATM and whatnot

  • I've played bass for a year and a half now, and I've been wanting to get a new bass, preferably an Ibanez, but I tend to play metal, like Slipknot, Korn (slap bass) and want a more...punky, Seattle Grunge sound for Nirvana, RATM, and Social Distortion. I have a Bassola 10 and Dean 09, and want to expand my sound range, but...cheaply. Is there any ideas for achieving such a tone? I like my Sasha, but I want something...a bit more versatile, since I'm starting to learn Tool...

  • @TheNamewithnumbers It's Walking on the Moon by The Police, if I'm not mistaken.

  • 1:25- 1:31 what song is that? I recognize it.

  • It may look like frets are not! They are markers future viewers lol

  • Listening to Steve Bailey or Michael Mann ring for 2 seconds is enough, go with Lines people please!

  • i scored one of these for $113. thanks to my old dean ml.

  • @sasukeuchihalb yeah he can play out of tune, look how he press the nothes werever he want to, you have to fret very near the fert marker but never past it or on top of it. he has a nice technique btw, but not too much fretless accuracy
