Finding You {Lizzie/Fred--short}

More Drop Dead Fred stuffies. Just showin' the love for a minor, minor fandom I've had on my noggin' the passed few days.

I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who and therefore probably abuse youtube's search mechanism hunting for vid after vid (after vid after vid ad nauseum :-D) devoted to ESPECIALLY The Doctor and Rose. What I've been finding a lot of are videos that include clips from their other films to make up a whole story. This_is_brilliant and comPLETELY inspired me. It's b/c of this that I decided to experiment in the same way for this childhood favorite of mine. I truly hope those of you who love Rik Mayall, Phoebe Cates and this film will enjoy this short piece that I've put together. :)

I wanted to set up a story where Fred eventually comes back to Lizzie. Of course, in my crazy mind there are many variations of this! In this one, though, Fred is still not human. He's only been given a short leave of absence and how does he choose to spend this time? Finding Lizzie.

It's been years since he said his farewells to Mickey's daughter and he's had other children to take care of along the way. During said time, it didn't actually work out for Lizzie and Mickey relationship-wise, but judging from her clothes in this video, she's certainly stumbled upon a serious amount of luck. While Fred looks for her, she's actually compelled to search for him, too, b/c she keeps hearing about someone matching his description in the area. It's actually against the rules for Fred to make contact with his past assignments (not canon, btw). He just wants to see her. However, oops! She spots him and smiles. ;-D

Oooh, that would be Lace! It's pretty hard to find, so I had to look on ebay and some other site for it... forgot which. My mind's pretty blurry at this hour. haha.

Yes, he looked VERY cute! I love his expressions! He's always very animated which adds to his appeal. :)

*hehe* Rik Mayall is a comedic GENIUS! I feel so bad that he got into that accident. :( I think that's why he no longer acts as much as he did. He was so active back in the day.

I don't know about that... if you watch his later 'Bottom' shows with Ade, he still runs around stage and screams like a mad man. :P So much energy for a man his age! But yes, that accident was horrible, so glad he turned out alright.

Yes, definitely check out Bottom - it's Rik & Ade at their disgusting, anarchic best!! :P There's 3 TV series plus a couple of stage shows that were being toured as recently as 2003 (but unfortunately, they've decided to stop now :().
