Then we will become the leadership and change the rules. You have given us no other choice.

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what's for dinner. A Republic is a well armed lamb contesting the vote." This skirmish is over, but we know now the party leadership's stands, abilities and how far they will go. We know now what must be done, we do not anticipate much resistance to our movement. We will rally our communities, our friends, and each other. We'll elect people to congress and state legislature and we will become PCO's. If the party will fight dirty within the rules.

A failed campaign? 2% name recognition January 2007. 50%+ in January 2008. Failed huh? No convention has progressed as far as 2008 in 20 years. Seems to me someone's campaign really draws the true grass roots while the McCain supporters took orders from their "leaders". Ron Paulers will be the first ones in and the last ones out from this point on. We stand for the Constitution, Liberty, and the Rule of Law. "I support the definition of patriotism as that effort to resist state oppression" - RP

No excuses, you brought up the point, I was simply clarifying it for you. Freesk8 above articulates it very nicely. We are a minority, but a growing one and that's what makes me feel better. Thank you for your concern.

Once upon a time, a minority knew that the earth was round. Only a minority participated in the American Revolution.
Every great scientific and philosophical revolution started with a minority; often one person. The majority is of average intelligence. Majority rule is another form of tyranny, and violates liberty as often as many dictatorships. I don't care if my views are not mainstream. The mainstream is often a cesspool of ignorance. I think for myself. I recommend it.

This is an ad hominem argument. Even a naked rat is right once in a while. Maybe he is right now? Address the arguments, don't make personal attacks.

I think that the lesser of two evils thinking gets us to socialism faster than voting for the candidate who best matches your values. I think that the D's are bringing us closer to left-wing socialism, but the R's are moving us towards right-wing socialism. I want neither. Again, your single vote will almost certainly not change the outcome. It therefore makes no sense to vote for the lesser of two evils. You can't keep the greater evil out of office. But you CAN defend your values.

I agree with you on most of what you said but we already have socialism. Tptb (nor their MSM stooges) just haven't told the American people but this IS socialism! We've a police/welfare state living alongside a military-industrial complex & we have Social[ist] Security (I've HERD that word b4...oh yeah, Homeland!) And we're ruled by banksters thru the corporations that have grown up around them (as Jefferson pointed out) running the nation & that was Mussolini's def. of Socialism: Corporatism.
