haha our old tanker was on the smae chassis. that thing was solid was hell, we replaced it in 2004 with a new 3000gal international. we sold the old tanker to a oil drilling company near us, it still runs great, and looks even better b/c they repainted it
I hope to own an old fire truck some day. I Wonder if a 1950 fire truck could clear traffic rolling code 3. Or would everyone on the road just think the driver is doing the lights and siren for show. Some one try it out and tell me how it went.
I've found that mounting an oscillating warning light too low on a vehicle makes them less effective. Because this particular light moves a beam of light from side to side and above and below the horizon line. If it's mounted low in does'nt reach as far into the sky. This is important as your approaching larger vehicles from behind. If too low it would'nt flash up into their rear view mirrors etc. Also it's important to use a decent spot type sealed beam bulb that is at least 50 watts in power.
Hopefully this rig will go to a town in USA that needs one. There are so many towns that need rigs like this.

Very nice truck- old school all the way! Those older Ford chassis were very solid units!
