  • It was a top safety pick just like the X3.

  • its to protect the head form intruding objects like the hood of the other SUV. It passes with flying colors.

  • the 2006-present BMW X5 is assembled in

    Greer, South Carolina, United States

    Toluca, Mexico

    Kaliningrad, Russia

  • @theguy459 It scored " Good " in Structure/Safety Cage because the roof was well maintained and the vehicles structure was well maintained.

  • okay so on the iihs website they rate the structure of the car "good" for the side crash of the bmw x5 and yet the commentator claims the barrier intrudes into the vehicle? ummmm does this make sense to anyone?

  • seriously? haha i just learned somthing

  • if the window is tinted, the film holds the glass

  • i guess thats good , ive seen a 100 km/hr side crash the dude died , it was a honda civic(new) and he was bleeding like shit

  • I had to slam on brakes today from an asswhole running a redlight doing 60 mph in a huge jacked up chevy silverado, I wonder how well it would have stacked up to that kinda crash?

  • Isn't one of the functions of the curtain airbags to stop those flying shards of glass. Cos it fails miserbaly in that regard!

  • Well if im not mistaken, this is "Youtube" not "Burger King." I know it may be challenging to confuse them, but you can't have everything your way. just fyi
