I hope it's not a trend. I know mine isn't a trend because I'm never getting relaxed again.

I've been natural for many moons and it has nothing to do with a trend. How can what I was born with be a trend. I'm not knocking anyone, but I feel that it is the other way around. Why work against mothernature. By wearing my hair natural, I can be curly today and temporarily straight tomorrow :D

i think natural hair has become a trend.all of a sudden everyone is going natural.for some it may not be a trend but just a choice and change in life and for others they just like the look of it.we see all these natural celebrities like solange who are natural and everyone wants that look because it's kinda cool, you know the natural styles and how you can accesorize your hair etc.but i think ppl are going to get tired of it and move on to the next...

You earrings are cuttte!! and you eye brows are on get it diva lol and yes natual hair is definitely more than a trend...

I went natural when i was pregnant in January 2007 not because i was pregnant- but because i just couldn't stand having relaxed hair anymore. Maybe it was the hormones. I got my mum to cut off all my hair and i was empowered. I didn't think about what trends i was following i just wanted to be more healthy and my son to appreciate natural beauty as he grows up.

10 years ago the natural haired girls will look down on the girls still wearing the weaves and relaxers i think nowadays one can wear their hair any way they want. but i glad that there is a lot more naturals now.

I think many people also want to start living a very healthy and natural lifestyle and they are very concerned with what they are putting in their bodies as well as what they are using on their skin, hair etc., I also believe that many of us black woman are really getting in touch with our natural self and we realize that under those relaxers, weaves and wigs that our hair is truly beautiful in its natural state. As you I also hope that this isnt a trend but more of an awakening

I do not know about anyone else, for me- I LOVE my natural hair. I have a 4 yr old daughter and she must know she doesnt need to put a perm in her hair to take care of it OR to be "apart" of a group or whatever. I done my BC a month ago, my last perm was in april of this yr. It has been a great experience for me. I am still learning BUT hey it is what it is.. I am loving my natural hair, my daughter is also natural and will stay that way!! peace

See I did it partially for my daughters too. I want them to KNOW that there natural hair texture is flyy and no relaxer can make it look better than what it already is. Congrats on your BC!

I'm 15 and I'm transitioning, but it's DEFINITELY not a "trend" or "faze" for me. :) I'm too passionate and informed now to even seriously think about turning back.

congrats or your transition. And your right, you learn too much to go back. A man's mind stretched by knowledge never reverts back to its original dimensions.
