Only five Minutes this one? I own a video tape of The Clangers that has only a very few episodes on, and they were each ten minutes long. I suppose, because this was The Pilot Episode.

Could be. Some pilots (like The Munsters - which was in COLOUR!) only give you HALF an episode, to "tempt" the client into greenlighting the REST! But in this case, I cannot remember...

I cannot understand why you did not see it when you were 17, was it censored for people of that age group?? I was 30 something when it started on TV and I watched every episode.....

LOL! I think it was like "The Magic Roundabout" - you had to be under 10 or over 30 to appreciate it!

A voice I would dearly donate significant body parts for - he could read the phone book and I'd listen spellbound.
Many thanks for posting.

Oliver postgate - also The Clangers' writer. And he wrote The Pingwings - THAT I remember. I liked the music - which was written by the same guy as here. Vernon Elliot. What a team!
