@Drudy90 Yes -- shot performance isn't top notch, but it is workable -- especially if you're making milk based drinks. The pressurization in the portafilter means you don't need a grinder, so that's good from a budget perspective. We need to do a review/demo of it -- I'll add it to our list. - Kat

@SeattleCoffeeGear But for a college student who enjoys espresso but has extremely limited funds it would be adequate?

@Drudy90 It's good for what it is -- similar in performance to this machine. - Kat

What do you think of the Delonghi BAR32 Retro pump driven machine?

I have to say, as a perspective buyer and coffee newb I do quite enjoy these video's, not the most informative or unbiased but the heart is most definitely there . Thank you very much for these lovely reviews.

@fuwad84 Well, thanks, I think. We are definitely unbiased, as you can tell from the wide array of products that we test and offer. - Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear, I have to say, your videos are great...keep up the good work...
Question, in your opinion, which is a better buy, the Deloghi EC140B or Capresso 303.01 4 cup Expresso and Cappuccino machine. I am more interest in which machine has more longevity as far as basic function is concern.
Please advise...thanks,

@t2t3456 Well, they are different, functionally. The former is pump driven while the latter is steam driven; you get a more traditional espresso shot from the DeLonghi, the Capresso's is more like a stove top espresso. Longevity is going to be pretty similar, although since you don't have to worry about a pump on the Capresso, it may last longer. But they're not necessarily comparable in terms of end product. - Kat
