@redoubt9000 thanks for the kind words. do you do a lot of ear playing or do you do mostly tabs? I'd just suggest working on some vibrato and bends. it really makes a lot of difference in your tone

@mechajabo I think my biggest problem was when I started playing I simply read from tab and was just happy that I could land on the correct notes XD That was around 10 years or so ago, and I kept going onto more difficult songs without really expanding much on what I had already covered. As a result my rhythm work is pretty tight but my leads and solowork end up incredibly lacking.

It doesn't help that my influence then shifted over onto trying to record and mix >_< As I ended up neglecting it
