Hi Folks,
Its been a while since my last live session so I thought that I'd better get one up and this time instead of the Roland MC-909 I am using the machinedrum & virus.
So here we have a Minimal Techno House live improv using Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 MK2, Access Virus C, Korg Micro Kontrol, Korg Kaoss Pad 3 and Logic Studio Pro 8.
This was recorded in one take and is a little rough around the edges but when considering that I was quite happy with the end result.
The Machinedrum is used for the drums and is sequencing itself, Logic Studio Pro is used for recording and sequencing the Virus C (controlled via micro kontrol) and for sending out the midi clock to both units. The KP3 is used for the effects.

If you like this then subscribe for more otherwise thanks for watching and listening.........

Watch in High Quality and enjoy.

  • sub from virus?

  • @iasonas8

Hey man the subs from the MD

    Cheers

  • Kick ass!!! How do you connect all these together???

  • @alowgroover All these machines are in sync via midi. Logic is the master and sends out midi or timing information through my korg micro kontrol and onto the Virus and MD. The KP3 is on a send channel, so you can choose how much a wet or dry signal is being sent.

  • @BenLinkd

Nice video! Do you using midi pattern from Logic or it's all triggering from machinedrum? Do you had problem with latency?

    Tnx!

  • @kosmodromov Thanks a lot man. Logic is the master and sends out midi/timing information through my korg micro kontrol onto the Virus (so the virus is sequenced via Logic) and the MD just receives midi clock info through my motu 828 mk3 so that it can use its own internal sequencer (the MD's best part) but still stay in time. No issues with latency whatsoever unless there are CPU heavy plug-ins on the mix bus.
