Kawangware is one of the fastest growing slums in Nairobi, Kenya with a population of over 200,000 people. Many of these are children addicted to huffing glue and paint thinner to numb their hunger pains.

  • This makes me so sad these people have to suffer like that

  • This is the cheesiest most cliched directing ever! But pretty good subject matter, I lived in Kawangware for a few months.

  • too bad they dont have the ganja:/ but that would make their hunger WAYY worse so i guess there better off without it? no never noone is better off without it..cept infants

  • this is quite a silly question, did all the pple u grew up with turn up to be unreasonable like......like......u?

  • They spend it on glue bcoz it is not enough to buy food so they buy glue (which is affordable) to make them high and forget a little about hunger.i grew up in the neighbourhood, that gives me more understanding than those who think they r stupid to prefer spending their money on glue than on food.

  • dang i remmebr this place lived here...ngwaro...they slept in public bathrooms at the shopping center in ngwaro...gai na miss nai.

  • think about what you say before you make a comment is all im going to say.

  • Why don't these kids spend their money on food instead of glue and then they won't be hungry. The kid at 6.03 is complaining that he needs something to eat! Also where does this glue come from? i can't imagine the high can be that good anyway, its only glue.

  • If you grew up in the streets then how can you afford a computer with the internet?

  • This is my home town... I grew up in this streets... this made me shed allot of tears...
