It used to be her playground but Madonna's childhood home is pretty much a shambles these days.

I'm Marjani Clarke for Realtor.com's Celebrity Home news.

She's certainly a material girl now but Madonna had humble beginnings as you can see from what's left of her charred childhood home in Rochester Hills, Michigan. It's on the market now for just forty-eight thousand, six hundred dollars.

This two-story home is going to need more than a little prayer -- it's going to need major reconstruction after two fires broke out since new owners took over -- including one in 2008 that was investigated by local cops as being suspicious.

Of course Madonna's no property virgin now. She recently moved into this mega-million dollar Palm Beach mansion with Jesus Luz, the model half her age. He's the one she began dating after her marriage to Guy Richie broke up. And the wealthiest woman in show biz has plenty of other properties. For instance she owns at least six homes in London alone.

So, don't cry for her, Argentina -- or anywhere else either. This savvy business woman has come a long way from her humble Michigan home.
