I think that Tolkien's main female characters (i.e. Arwen and Eowyn) are simply amazing. Their deep reservoir of emotions take the War of the Ring to a very personal level, trying to struggle in a world destroyed and delivered by males, and yet not standing below them.

I just accidentially combined this (really good!) video with "Within Temptation - Forgiven" (the live version at the Ahoy). Though I like Nightwish, this song fit as well and is nearly the same length.

@ McQuackor: Actually Arwen and Eowyn cannot be found in the books of Tolkien the way they are presented in the film.
