This video highlights and commemorates the 12th Annual Awards of Excellence held by Canadian Tamil Youth Development (CanTYD) on October 30 2011. The event was a great combination of entertainment and achievement. We celebrated the winners of the awards in academia, volunteerism, athleticism and overall achievement. We were blessed with inpirational words from our Keynote Speaker, Kesavan Balasingham, as well as local public figures and sponsors. Between award ceremonies we were entertained by youth who performed skits, modern dance, spoken word and traditional Tamil dancing. "A of E" had a spectacular turn out and it was definitely a great gathering for the Tamil-Canadian community in Toronto and more than an award ceremony it was a gathering of excellence.
