Submitting a College Application to an Art College is quite different from other Colleges.

In an Art College, one of the most important elements of the application process is the portfolio of artwork. It demonstrates your artistic skills and experience and helps us identify creative, talented students who will work hard and be successful.

One way to submit artwork is by Slides, or a CD or DVD with examples of your work.

Today, however, the Electronic Portfolio is the preferred method.

There you can upload your images of artwork, label them, and when you have completed the process, submit the final draft directly to the College electronically.

  • hello! i am totally freaking out on making my portfolio for graphic design,

they'd prefer i have it submitted in digital form, then here comes a question.

do i have to print out my artwork in large size paper they require? sorry, i'm just totally confused about that part. Also, this video helped me with my other questions! thanks!

  • so that's how to do it. thanks.

  • @rkey16 But make sure that you rename all of the files so they open in the order that you want. For example, if you have a painting called "Purple Sky" and you want it to be the first thing that the reviewers see, rename it "1 - Purple Sky" or or something like that so that the folder puts it at the top of the list. The next one would be "2 - Green Grass" or whatever.

Also in the folder, put a word document or pdf that has all the artwork info on it like name, size, medium, and date.

    Good luck!

  • @rkey16 If all they're asking for is a USB, then it probably means that they just want you to drop the files into a folder on your USB drive and send it to them. If so, then it's a pretty easy process.

  • how do i make a digital portfolio and put it on an USB?? is there programs i need to use to do it or just put the pictures of the art works in??

  • Very insightful! Thanksss! ;]
