  • ill have to try this, the hardest ingredient to find is the jaggery or goord, unless you are in a big city.

  • The chili seems a little out of place to me, but I'm no cook, and I know nothing of Indian Cuisine. Does the green chili have a sweet taste, or what? I would expect it to be slightly spicy. Spicy mixed with the sweetness (or sourness) of the mango seems weird to me. I'd be willing to try it, though.

  • The raw mango will be sour, so the spiciness of the chili works well.

  • @qiron that's how it's pronounced in Marathi, but more commonly as panna, especially in Gujarati and Marwari.

  • Weird. I actually went out and got the ingredients for this today. I wanted to try it. Haven't made it yet, though. : )
